A Curriculum That Meets Us Where We Are, and Grows With Us

At Balsam Academy, we weren’t looking for a dramatic shift. We were looking for a curriculum that could align with the NEP, support our teachers, respect our children’s context, and invite parents meaningfully into the journey. The SSOT Curriculum met all of these needs — with calm clarity and grounded depth.

What we appreciate most is that SSOT is not a rigid system, nor a collection of ideals we had to fit into. Instead, it is a thoughtful evolution of education rooted in Anthroposophy, Indic knowledge systems, and a sincere commitment to whole-child development.

WHAT MAKES SSOT MEANINGFULLY DIFFERENT TO US

It bridges the traditional and the progressive.

Our academic goals are met, but never at the cost of emotional and cultural well-being. Children learn to grow—not just perform.

It’s ready for the classroom.

The daily plans are structured, the materials are illustrated by hand, and teachers feel confident. We’re not just talking about good education—we’re delivering it every day.

It uplifts the teacher’s role.

Our educators are not seen as content deliverers, but as reflective guides. The training we receive encourages personal growth, self-awareness, and stronger relationships with students.

It roots learning in the child’s world.

• Local language, festivals, seasonal rhythm - these are not extras. They are built into the curriculum. Our children feel seen, heard, and connected to where they come from.

• It welcomes parents into the learning journey.

• Weekly home tasks are simple, practical, and value-based. Families don’t feel overwhelmed instead they feel involved.

It offers real-time, real-person support.

Weekly live sessions, responsive guidance, and personalised mentoring ensure we never feel alone in implementation. We grow with expert guidance, not external pressure.

TO SCHOOLS CONSIDERING A MEANINGFUL CHANGE

If you're a school:

• Looking to implement NEP with intention

• Seeking alternatives to test-heavy systems

• Wanting a curriculum that’s structured, soulful, and simple

• Ready to walk with children, not run ahead of them

…then SSOT is worth exploring.

It didn’t ask us to change who we were.

It helped us become more of who we wanted to be.
